Stanford Club Tennis was founded by Vinay Mahagaokar and Michael Chow in the Winter of 2004.  The team grew quickly to encompass both recreational and competitve players and continues to embrace its original mission of creating a community of tennis players while simultaneously spreading a love for the game. In the Fall of 2005, Stanford Club Tennis won the Northern California USTA Regional Campus Championships and traveled for its first time to the Club Tennis National Tournament.  It has participated in the National Tournament twice more in the two following years, with its most recent trip in the Spring of 2007 to Cary, North Carolina.
